Pedal for purple is back on the island (Photos)

The 3rd Annual "Pedal for Purple" Epilepsy Awareness Day will be bigger, better and more purple than ever. Founder of this event, Mickey Naschke, has a passion for this purple event because he, himself, is Epileptic, along with over 2 million Americans. Seizures will not slow Mickey down as he pedals around the island sharing a compassion and voice that draws people in as they learn about him and others that live with this Neurological condition.

Pedal for Purple and Mickey were recognized in 2011 by Mayor Jaworski and the Galveston City Council as they proclaimed the day as "Purple Day for Epilepsy Awareness in the City of Galveston."
