Peck Motorsports makes plans for 2013

Peck Motorsports announced on Wednesday that it plans to enter at least five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races during the 2013 season with driver Todd Peck behind the wheel of a No. 96 Chevrolet. The team plans to make its 2013 Truck Series debut in April at Kansas Speedway.

"I think we're prepared for a good season," Peck said. "We keep learning more and more each time we enter the series. We really want to take that next step this year and concentrate on being as competitive as possible."

Peck has five-career starts as a driver in the Camping World Truck Series.

According to a press release from Peck Motorsports, the team may compete in additional races if adequate sponsorship is found. Aside from the race at Kansas, the team has yet to select the other four races in which it has committed to compete. The No. 96 team will be partnering with the Arthritis Foundation for those five races.

"Off the track, I'm thankful to continue to work with the Arthritis Foundation," Peck said. "We have worked hard to bring additional awareness through events both at and away from the track."

The Arthritis Foundation is a cause that is close to Peck. He was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis as a teenager.
