Peck Motorsports holds helmet design contest

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Todd Peck is looking for a designer for the helmet he'll don in competition in 2013. The driver is also racing to bring awareness to juvenile arthritis through a helmet design contest for JA.

Peck Motorsports announced on Tuesday individuals may submit their helmet designs for consideration between now and March 31, and Peck will wear a helmet featuring the winning design throughout the 2013 season. At the end of the year, the creator of the winning design will receive the helmet. A duplicate helmet will also be produced to auction to raise proceeds for the Arthritis Foundation.

"This was something we thought up to help get the kids more involved in our race program," Peck said. "We need to continue to celebrate their accomplishments as they live with JA. We're looking forward to seeing the designs that come in."
