When running or training for a race, it's comforting to have a partner to go through all the highs and lows with.
There is one partnership when it comes to wearable fitness devices and running that looks like it will keep getting stronger.
Fresh off getting runners of all ages through the monster that is the 26.2 mile Chicago Marathon, Jenny is ready for her next challenge. Are you?
This would include the race against Breast Cancer, a disease that has affected every American in some way. Hadfield has now launched a new 5K app for Breast Cancer Awareness month and Pear is on board with all it offers.
The entire month of October, Pear will donate 100% of proceeds from Hadfield’s new workout app to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. What a great gesture.
What will this app do for runners?
“The Pear Sports 5K Run/Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness workout is a unique way to learn more about prevention and move forward to honor those that have been affected by breast cancer," explains Hadfield. "Walk or run a 5K anywhere that is convenient or meaningful for you (around your neighborhood, a pretty park or path). I'll be right there with you guiding you through the 5K with tips on prevention. It's a simple and easy way to do something good for others while doing so for yourself.”
The app will serve as a guide, taking users throughout the 5K with facts about breast cancer and tips and suggestions for living a healthy lifestyle, which could reduce your chances of breast cancer.
The app helps you prepare for a 5K, and you can even dedicate it to someone you know who has been affected by breast cancer.
After you complete each workout, you can share your results on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #PEAR4BCA and PEAR will donate an additional $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Pear keeps giving.
The Jenny Hadfield’s 5k Run / Walk for Breast Cancer workout app is now available in the Pear Sports App for $4.99, which is available in Apple’s App Store.
