If you are looking for a peak experience in San Francisco, you need look no further than the upcoming Peak2Peak hike. On Sunday, September 25, 2011, you can join the 7th annual event. Peak2Peak will follow a 12-mile path, up and down 15 peaks, along the spine of the city from Mt. Davidson to Coit Tower. The walk is guided and when you sign in, you’ll receive a detailed map showing the route (and restrooms). You will enjoy a picnic lunch midday.
On Peak2Peak, you’ll be on hidden stairways, dirt trails, and sidewalks while supporting Walk SF’s goal to make San Francisco fun, safer place for you to walk every day.
Times:
- Arrival and sign-in: 9:30 a.m.
- Depart for first peak: 10:00 a.m. sharp!
- Ending around 4:00 p.m.
Location:
- Walk starts from West Portal, in front of Noah's Bagels, 28 West Portal Ave. Muni lines K, L, M, buses #17, #48. It ends in the North Beach area; from there you can easily find public transit downtown or back to West Portal.

Be prepared for this wonderful, but lengthy hike, by wearing appropriate shoes, layered clothing (could be foggy), sun protection and hat, and carrying water.
