Peacock rules at Gucci Fall 2013 for Milan Fashion Week Womenswear! (Photos)

Models Chanel Iman, Karlie Kloss and Anja Rubik, among others, presented Fall/Winter fashions on the Gucci runway for designer Frida Giannini at Milan Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2013/14 on February 20, 2013 in Milan, Italy.

Designer Frida Giannini’s vision for Autumn – Winter 2013 – 2014 is a harmonious blend of jewel tones celebrating all the colors of that king of birds, the peacock – blue, teal, jade green, gold – as well as rust, purple, burgundy and oxblood.

Along with that peacock color palette, several designs even feature feathers on a netted top, even if not overtly “peacock” feathers, such as the cocktail dress that has teal, jade green, olive and gold marabou feathers. Or the burgundy and blue gown on Chanel Iman with burgundy marabou feathers on the sleeves.

Even the burgundy silk pants ensemble on Karlie Kloss has burgundy peacock style feathers, even though there is some teal, blue and gold in there.

The colors are very rich and brooding like the deep bottle green velvet skirt suit with the shaggy fur trim, the deep oxblood leather skirt suit and the deep burgundy, gold and black plaid dress.

A teal coatdress with three-quarter sleeves, the metallic leaf motif dress and the rust velvet skirt suit are particularly lovely.

For something different, Gucci also has edgy dark grey/black leather-like tops under their jewel-toned suits. An interesting and inspiring Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Womenswear collection from Gucci!
