Peaches Geldof death: No evidence of drugs, foul play at scene

Peaches Geldof passed away at a very young 25-years old, leaving behind a husband and two children. The cause of death is still unknown but according to CNN on April 7, there are no apparent signs of drug use or suicide. As investigators scramble to figure out her cause of death, her fans and family have come together to celebrate a life lost way too early.

Initially, police were called to the home of Geldof to perform what they are describing as a "welfare check." It is unclear what alerted them but when they arrived at her home, they found Peaches Geldof unresponsive.

The British socialite and celebrity journalist described her life as "perfect" prior to her death. She said in interviews that her children balanced her and that being a mother made her happy. Peaches' own mother died when she was just 11-years old and she had talked about how long it took her to come to terms with her mother's death.

Reports on Geldof's death state that no drugs were found at the scene and it is a complete puzzle as to why she died. Peaches said herself that she stopped using drugs in 2009 and was embracing a much more peaceful life. It is impossible to imagine that she would end her life in the same way as her mother, who did die of a drug overdose in 2000.

Suicide was another possible cause of death that many suggested in this case. While there still is no evidence to support that conclusion and no suicide note at the scene, Peaches last contribution to Twitter was a picture of herself and her mother.

An autopsy of Peaches Geldof is scheduled for Wednesday and authorities hope that will shed some light on the cause of death. Peaches was survived by her husband Thomas Cohen and their two sons, Astala and Phaedra.
