DEXTER- The Piscataquis community high school (PCHS) Pirates girls basketball team will take the short trip to Dexter for a big class C game against the Tigers.

Game time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

The Pirates have started the season with five wins. They have outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points.

The most impressive win so far this season, was a 40-37 victory over Stearns.

Alex Speed, Jordynne Littlefield, and Delani Bennett have led the Pirates to the hot start.

Dexter (4-2) lost two straight games against Foxcroft and Orono.

The Tigers followed that with two impressive wins against Central and PVHS.

Dexter rolled to a 54-23 victory over previously undefeated PVHS.

Michaela White, Abbie Melvin, and freshman Megan Peach are among the leaders for the Tigers.

Peach recorded 15 points, 15 rebounds, and six steals against the Howlers.

Both teams are expected to be class C contenders, so this game should bring plenty of heal points to the winner.

This will be the last game for both teams before Christmas.

The teams will meet again on January 30th in Guilford.
