PCHS and Dexter to face off in a class C girls basketball clash

The Piscataquis Community high school (PCHS) Pirates and Dexter Tigers will highlight a 16 game girls basketball schedule for Monday.

The Tigers come in outscoring their opponents by an average of 56.4 to 31.6.

Lauren Crane, Jordyn Bell and Michaela White provide Dexter with scoring punch. Tasha Pratt leads the way at point guard while Abbie Melvin is a presence down low for the Tigers.

Dexter currently has a record of 11-0 and are ranked second in the MPA class C heal point standings.

PCHS (8-2) is on a five game winning streak since falling to the Tigers 58-35 on December 28th

Delani Bennett and Cory Fellows provide PCHS with a strong inside game. Jesse Bell is a threat from three point range for the Pirates.

The Pirates are currently ranked fifth in the heal point standings with eight games remaining on the schedule.

The top five will skip the preliminary round and advance directly to the quarterfinals at the Bangor Auditorium.

Oxford Hills (7-3) will travel to Bangor (7-3) in a big class A girls basketball clash. The game can be heard live on 620 AM or online here starting at 6:30 p.m.
