PCH, also known as Publishers Clearing House, made an announcement on Dec. 27 that should make a lot of people very happy if they want to win thousands of free dollars in 2014. According to a PCH Blog post by Danielle Lam, a member of their prize patrol team, "2014 is going to be an amazing year!"
Lam promises that the multi-channel direct marketing company is going to give away big prizes (including $10,000 or $25,000) to someone every single month in the new year. That means someone will win something big in January, which is just days around the corner.
That makes sense given that the company has been advertising approximately 22 big ticket prizes on their PCH.com site for most of 2013; prizes which had an original deadline entry date of Dec. 31, but which now have deadline entry dates of March 31.
Some of those giveaway prizes include a $10,000 five-star ski package, a $20,000 secret cash stash prize, $25,000 in gas and groceries prize, and a fully loaded F150 prize valued at $52,450. But there are more, like the $25,000 "go green" prize to improve your home, or the $75,000 dream kitchen giveaway prize, or the $100,000 debt payoff prize.
PCH will let you choose to take the cash for these giveaway prizes when they are awarded, so you can choose to spend the money as you want, since you might already have a truck you like or a dream kitchen of your own.
Prize patrol member Lam also says that in addition to the direct marketing company giving away a substantial prize ever single month in 2014, they will also be having five "HUGE SuperPrize events" this year too, including the expected Feb. 28 one for a million-a-year forever.
I can't reveal all of those yet (you'll have to stay tuned), but believe me, they are amazing!" she said.
Georgia Mega Millions winner Ira Curry would say her lottery win was amazing. After choosing to cash out her winnings--and after taxes--she is left with a whopping $121 million or so. Publishers Clearing House is proposing to make someone in the nation the recipient of a million dollars per year for the rest of their life--and then to let that person name someone to receive the million a year for life after they are dead. That could mean more money in the long run than new millionaire Ira Curry just received from her windfall, but it will be paid out over time rather than in one lump payment. And that might be wiser for the winner.
Other possible huge super prizes PCH may be going to award this year can likely be found on their official website, where they have been having customers and others sign up for such things as a single one million dollar prize payout, which also offers an additional bonus of $30,000, $40,000 or $50,000 thrown in for good measure.
There is also the "up to $1 million" prize. And the interactive online portion of this prize entry form will determine if the final prize amount to be awarded will be $500,000, $750,000 or one million.
The $3 million dream home prize has not been awarded yet either, and many people would like to have that one in 2014, especially those people who may have just learned that the HGTV Dream Home 2014 sweepstakes is now underway.
There are a couple more super huge prizes to consider, like the $250,000 a year for life prize, which allows someone to be blessed with enough money to do the things they may need or want to do right away, but not be burdened with too much money given to them too fast.
My personal favorite is the $100,000 a week for a year prize, which lets a winner get all their winnings in the span of one year, but on a week-by-week basis, like receiving a paycheck. That prize is a grand total of $5.2 million overall in value. And if one considers that a PCH Super Fan can double any prize received (just by signing up on the PCH Facebook site), then my favorite could turn into a $10.4 million prize altogether.
Georgia's newest Mega Millions millionaire Ira Curry has already gone into hiding from winning too much money too fast. And Ira Curry's sisters are fearful for their own lives now that she has become so wealthy overnight. But most people would not mind having such a problem. And many are already planning for it with Danielle Lam's latest announcement. What about you? Are you ready to win big with Publishers Clearing House in 2014?
