PC game release list for the week of 4/1/2013

BioShock Infinite, the megaton bomb that released last week, is probably on most gamer's minds at this moment. Trying to even think of another game on the horizon will mean, less time playing Irrational Games' fantastic game. I actually just completed it yesterday and the first thing that comes to mind, besides the twisted patriotic atmosphere, is the gameplay. Once Infinite gets the ball rolling, I used skylines to traverse the battlefield, lunged distances to smack enemies with a satisfying pang from the skyhook, used vigors to throw more enemies off balance, and directed Elizabeth to open tears in the universe for aid. It looked frantic on screen, but felt like a symphony of true player freedom. It was quite the rush and an experience that I will definitely play again.

BioShock Infinite is an amazing game, but let's not forget the game releases for this week. Let me just pry your hands off that keyboard and mouse or controller for a bit - there we go - and check out these new game releases.

The most ambitious game on the list this week is Defiance. An MMO/Third Person Shooter/RPG hybrid, it takes place in a post apocalyptic Bay Area where aliens have taken refuge on Earth. It involves huge co-op battles against gigantic enemies as the player scours for alien technology. But the most interesting part? The SyFy show of the same name will impact the game, and the game will impact the show. How this will exactly work remains to be seen, but hopefully it works out because the idea behind it is great.

Here's the PC game release list for this week according to Shacknews:

Cities in Motion 2

Defiance

Evoland

Lords of Football

Tai Chi Elements
