In honor of the brand spanking new Tomb Raider game coming out on Tuesday, I'll be playing Tomb Raider: Underworld to get myself acquainted with the rebooted Lara Croft. Why Tomb Raider: Underworld you say? Why not the original Tomb Raider? Well, Underworld is the only Tomb Raider that I actually have on the PC, plus it will be good to see how far Crystal Dynamics have come in comparison. They've delved with a seasoned adventurer, now we'll get to see how Lara starts off as a wide eyed noob, to a kick ass, hardened survivor on a mysterious and forgotten island.
Also out this week is the newest iteration of SimCity, simply titled "SimCity". In a sense, the game is a bit of a reboot, but at the same time, it goes back to its roots as a core city building simulation. Of course, you'll need to start off small and build your little town to hopefully create a gigantic metropolis with tons of skyscrapers, but it's the activities you juggle in-between to get that point, that makes SimCity so much fun. Where will the roads go? What kinds of zones should I set up? Why don't I have enough simoleons to build a fire station yet? Houses are currently on fire!
Here's the entire PC game release list for this week according to Shacknews:
