The 19th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival is officially underway! "We finally made it to Boca," exclaimed Randi Emerman President and CEO of PBIFF. Both the opening night film, "Belle" and party took place at the Cinemark Palace 20 Theaters and Bogart's of Boca (located on the second floor of the movie theater). It was great having everything in one place instead of having to take a trolley car or a long walk to get from one place to another.
No one really knew what to expect from "Belle", but the consensus of those in attendance generally liked the movie and thought it was a solid choice for the opening night film. PBIFF took up two whole rooms at Bogart's. Patrons were given drink tickets earlier in the night as enjoyed two full bars, fruit tables, a variety of appetizers being brought around by the wait staff, popcorn and homemade potato chips and a live band.
Both filmmakers and moviegoers got to mingle and get to know one another. It was a very laid back and pleasant evening for everyone. When asked about what she thought about the opening night of PBIFF Randi said, "Great film. Great people. Terrific time." It has been so far as the first full day of film and events (click HERE to see the full schedule of the film festival) are now out of the way too.
PBIFF is spread over Palm Beach county. You can click HERE to purchase tickets. Come on down and help support a great film festival and have a great time in the process.
