The students in the School District of Palm Beach County are busy spreading hope and cheer for those children who find themselves in hospitals because of their need for physical help, etc. which the doctors and nurses will provide, however, on the other hand, the best hospital visitors for children are more the merrier children!
The students at Hagen Road Elementary School have made and donated over 2,000 Rainbow Loom bracelets for the children at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The students want to make sure that all the patients know that these bracelets represent that Hagen Road Elementary School cares and believes that each patient is very brave and strong.
“Each bracelet was made with love and compassion for the patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital,” said Candice Brodie, teacher and sponsor of the Student Council at Hagen Road Elementary School. “The students really wanted to be a part of making a difference in another child’s life.”
The students hope that every time a patient looks at their bracelet that it reminds them that other children have faith in them and to never give up. “Through the encouragement of Miss Brodie, our students banded together to create inspirational masterpieces that could be worn by the patients” stated Principal Dr. Richard Hughes.
Hagen Road Elementary School students hope they were able to make the patients of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital holiday season a little brighter this year, one bracelet at a time.
