Endorse Liberty, a super PAC supporting Ron Paul’s presidential campaign, received nearly a million dollars from PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel.
New documents surfacing Tuesday show the contribution as being the largest since the first time Ron Paul Ron ran for President in 1988, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
The report also showed that the group raised $1 million in December. However, in a press release on Tuesday, the founders disclosed that they have increased their fundraising to date to $3.9 million.
More and more big name politicians, companies, and individuals have started coming out for Ron Paul, now in his third attempt to win the White House. Prior to these landmark contributions, Linda Bean, an heiress to famed Maine outfitter L.L. Bean, came out in support of Ron Paul on Saturday as the candidate made a campaign swing through the state before moving on to Colorado Tuesday.
Ron Paul also received the little publicized, yet most coveted endorsement in SC prior to that state’s primary, garnering the backing of top Republican Senator, Tom Davis.
The Endorse Liberty Super PAC started a youtube channel dedicated to video parodies about the other candidates in the race.
