Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments doesn't launch for a few months, but Frogwares dropped new details regarding the upcoming title. Olga Ryzhko, who works at Frogwares Studios, discussed how Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments will force you to be a keen observer of more than just what a suspect is saying.

"Gameplay mechanics are specific to investigations and meant to convey what it feels like to actually BE Sherlock Holmes, the investigator, such as his ability to learn the details of an individual’s life simply by observing them, or to imagine and reconstruct a past event by merely studying the key features of a crime scene," Ryzhko said.

She went on to describe Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments as a game that is "pure investigation" and will bring to life some heinous crimes and sadistic human beings.

"[There are] six sophisticated cases, numerous suspects, right or wrong charges, possibility to fail or succeed, moral choices to influence the gameplay, and alternative endings — you play Sherlock Holmes at your own peril," Ryzhko said.

The PlayStation Blog has some awesome gameplay that we've embedded above. It really shows off a big clip of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, so if you want to know more about the game, just press play.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is indeed coming to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. It's currently in line to launch toward the end of September, though, no exact release date has been mentioned.
