It’s not too late to sign up for the 16th annual Paws in the Park Dog Walk & Fest in Gaithersburg, Md. The fest takes place Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm (located at 506 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg) from noon to 4pm. For the fourth year, the Montgomery County Humane Society is partnering with the City of Gaithersburg to put on this family-friendly dog event.

At the fest, you and your four-legged companion can take a one-mile walk along a paved path that winds past two ponds. Visit one of more than 50 pet-friendly vendors. Get your dog microchipped to help him get home if he gets lost. If you’re looking to adopt an additional furry friend, check out the rescue groups. Of course, there will be all sorts of food, games, music and activities to enjoy.

The cost to register is $20 for an individual and $35 for a family of two or more related people. Money raised will help the Montgomery County Humane Society take care of homeless, abused, and abandoned animals, and you and your dog will have a fun afternoon!
