Paws in Need continues to fundraise to provide financial assistance to Tri-Valley residents who cannot afford urgent vet care for their sick/injured pets through the Just Like New (JLN) Fund and its year-round Animal Lovers’ Boutique in the lobby of the Feline Medical Center, 3160 Santa Rita Road, Pleasanton.
Over 500 animals and their owners have been helped since the organization was founded by Jackie Barnett in 1995. The fund also offers a discount to offset the cost of spaying and neutering community animals to owners who qualify.
In addition to this year-round effort, seasonal fundraisers are held such as the recent Valentine’s Crab Feed, and now the upcoming May 3rd Yard Sale. In the side yard of Milfleur, a retail gift shop at 200 Ray Street in Pleasanton, Paws in Need will be selling gently used items from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Not only is this a great opportunity to get unique items for Mother’s Day, but it is also a chance to spring clean and put some of your unused items to good use!
Donations are now being accepted for the yard sale, so mark your calendar and contact Ellen Magnie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 510-305-2553.
All proceeds help community animals.
