Got to give credit where its due as Top Rank Promotions beefed up what is definitely turning out to be the biggest fight card for 2010 when Manny Pacquiao aims to make history yet anew and grab an 8th divisional world title when he faces the bigger and taller Antonio Margarito for the vacant WBC junior middleweight crown at The New Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Added to the already stacked card that included some of the brightest young prospects in boxing like Jose Benavidez, Carlos Marroquin and Richie Mepranum is perhaps the biggest name to ever fight in a Pacquiao undercard in recent memory in former World Middleweight Champion Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik. Pavlik is on comeback trail after his loss to Sergio Martinez last April and will be taking on Texas native Brian Vera in a 10-round bout.
Apart from Pavlik, the pay-per-view undercard will now also feature the much-hyped Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux who will be challenging for a world title in only his seventh professional bout, in a 12-round rumble with former world champion Ricardo Cordoba for the WBA interim super bantamweight championship. The PPV telecast will open with undefeated welterweight contender Mike Jones- who?! Mike Jones... who?! Well not that Mike Jones-- defending his NABA and NABO welterweight belts against Top-10 contender Jesus Soto-Karass.
Talk about bang for the buck. Now if only they could do the same thing for the Chavez Jr.-Gomez card or at least move Nonito Donaire Jr. to the Pacquiao-Margarito card, then Top Rank would've given its fans an early Christmas give- at the price of the $50 PPV price tag of course.

This is more like it, finally Top Rank are giving their undercards some bang. This was definitely needed after the boring Pac-Clottey undercard.
Although why is Donaire not fighting on these cards??? In fact why is he not fighting on any cards??? One of the biggest talents in boxing and he hasn't had a big fight in 3 years, Arum should be ashamed.
yeah.. i agree with it.. donaire should be included in this card. that is what donaire is looking for, they include meprenaum, then why the hell does bob arum did not include this exciting fighter to intensify more this already action packed match up and give all the boxing fans their dream fights..

"biggest fight card for 2010" eh? it wasn't long ago you were crying non-stop about how arum is this and that and now trumpeting this as the best fight card for 2010? there's a word for that.
