Paula’s mother is “anguished,” according to CBS News and said “We found out she was strangled and I said to my husband, ‘How horrible, she was watching her killer strangle her eyes to eyes.”
The former Playboy model’s boyfriend, Kevin Klym, has been named a person of interest by police and was the last person to see her after a fight at a Miami night club.

Paula’s sister, Kelly Farris, is asking the public for help in finding her sister’s killer. “My sister was just 26,” said Farris. “She was full of life. She cared about everything. I just spent Christmas with her. I’m just pleading for anybody out there who knows something to come forward. She didn’t deserve to die this way.”

Klym, 35, and Paula lived together in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., according to her stepfather, Richard Watkin, who resides in Michigan. He told CBS that Paula’s body was so badly burned her remains will have to be cremated before she is sent back to Michigan.

Watkin said that Klym had been kicked out the club for fighting with Paula, leaving her “alone with the wolves…” He claims Klym had broken Paula’s nose in the past during a prior altercation. “We told her to get away from him, but she wouldn’t listen.”

Investigators are reviewing surveillance tape from the night club and “…want this person brought to justice,” according to Lt. Neal Cuevas.
