Recently named by Maxim magazine as America's Hottest Female TV Chef, Paula Deen is taking her love of butter into the cosmetics world. The owner of Savannah's Lady & Sons restaurant, cookbook author, and host of several Food Network shows has a new line of lip balm called, "Put Some South On Your Mouth". The collection includes a flavor synonomous with Ms. Paula and it will definitely get your heart racing. Butter. Yes, butter-flavored lip balm.
Fellow TV Chef, Anthony Bourdain of "No Reservations" on the Travel Channel recently told the New York Post that he believes that Paula Deen is the Most Dangerous Person in America. He says, “She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations, and she’s proud of the fact that her food is f--king bad for you.” Deen, famous for her butter-heavy recipes is often criticized, but seems to be capitalizing on that her bubbly personality and relatable attitude.
The lip balms are currently sold only in Deen's restaurant, but could come to a cosmetics counter near you. Key Lime Pie and Banana Cream Pie flavors are also available...and if you really want to live dangerous...mix all three flavor together! “I would think twice before telling an already obese nation that it is OK to eat food that is killing us,” Bourdain further says about Deen. But we're not "eating" this lip balm Anthony, at least we hope.
