If you like the show "MasterChef" and the celebrity Southern cook Paula Deen you’re in for a treat. Paula Deen will be on this week’s episode of "MasterChef." Even though they taped the show in March, before Paula Deen’s lawsuit from Lisa Jackson accusing her of racial discrimination, they are still going to air the episode.
To many Paula Deen fans, FOX network is doing the right thing and airing the episode. Paula plays a valuable part in it, and without totally redoing the show with someone new, they are staying loyal to their contract. On tonight's episode, Paula helps to determine who the final four contestants will be and she will announce the winner.
The judges for season four of "MasterChef" are Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Graham Elliot. They put contestants through a series of rounds, eliminating chefs as they progress. At the end of the show, they turn one armature cook into a culinary master.
On tonight’s special two-hour episode, the judges get some help from their sons during the mystery box challenge. After that, the remaining five cooks prepare a Southern-inspired dish on their visit at a ranch. Could this be where Paula makes an appearance? Viewers will have to turn in tonight to find out.
While discussing the new season, Chef Gordon Ramsay had this to say about Paula, "Paula Deen [is] back on. Huge success last year with her. And she's great. I wouldn't get on the wrong side of her. She's dynamic, feisty, tenacious but bloody good."
"MasterChef" with Paula Deen airs on August 28, on FOX at 7 p.m. central.
