Paula Deen closes Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, forgets to tell staff

Paula Deen

Paula Deen closed her Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House, which isn’t terribly unusual for a restaurant business in the current economy these days, but Paula Deen forgot one major detail during the closing of her business. She forgot to tell the employees at the restaurant, according to a Yahoo! News report on Friday.

Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House is the infamous home of the Paula Deen scandal which exploded last year when there were reports of the businesswoman was called extremely racist when she admitted that she had used racist language in her past “speak.”

It has been reported that the persons who went to work for their morning shift at the Paula Deen restaurant on Thursday in Savannah, Georgia were faced with a major challenge – which was getting in the restaurant since the doors were locked. The workers ended up getting their severance payments in the restaurant’s parking lot.

The restaurant closing was confirmed by Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House, Savannah GA Facebook page which now says “Thank you for 10 great years. Uncle Bubba’s is now closed.”
