The Orange Ball, a benefit to raise awareness and funds for Lupus LA will hold it's annual celebration on May 12, 2011at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The Orange Ball is Lupus LA’s premier fundraising gala. Held each spring, this event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Lupus LA's awareness and education programs across Southern California, as well as groundbreaking research through our national partner, the Lupus Research Institute. The celebrity-hosted night features a cocktail hour, formal dinner, live entertainment, and the glamorous attendees.
The Orange Ball promises memorable and exclusive live entertainment. While this years’ special performance is yet to be officially announced, Lupus LA will be honoring Paula Abdul for the prestigious Loop Award. The entertainment industry award is given to an artist who has been committed to Lupus LA.
Abdul is a Grammy and Emmy winner who has six number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
After being a judge on the television series, American Idol, for eight years, she moved on to another television series, CBS's Live to Dance, which debuted in January 2011.
The 2011 Orange Ball promises to be the highlight of Lupus Awareness Month in Southern California.
