Paul Walker wanted to quit his acting career to spend more time with his fifteen year-old daughter, according to a Dec. 8 report in Hollywood Life. Friends confirmed Walker had planned to stop acting after filming the latest “Fast and Furious” installment with Vin Diesel.
Ronn Shikari, a friend of Paul Walker’s, stated the action star was a family man at heart and wanted to stop the Hollywood lifestyle, quitting acting once and for all to be with his daughter, Meadow. Vince Krause, another friend of Paul’s, said the actor loved being a father and felt that it was the most important role in his life.
The “Fast and Furious” franchise, especially the last three films directed by James Wan, has blown up in popularity in recent years. Friends say this gave Paul Walker the financial freedom to potentially walk away from his career after he finished “Fast and Furious 7”.
Meadow even recently moved in with Paul Walker full time, allowing the movie star to see his daughter more than he ever had in the past.
He was happier than you can imagine to have her living with him full-time … She was the love of his life, he was an amazing dad and he was so happy that she chose to live with him because he never felt like he got enough time with her,” a source told Hollywood Life.
Unfortunately, Paul Walker tragically died on Saturday, Nov. 30 in a car accident in Los Angeles, preventing him from completing his plans to be with his daughter. One can only hope that Meadow Walker will remember how much her famous father loved her.
