Walker has literally been racing the hearts of female moviegoers everywhere as Brian O'Connor in the Fast & Furious franchise.
But before he hit 0-60, Walker first gained notice as Brandon Collins on the CBS daytime soap The Young & the Restless (Y&R), which then led to roles in the teen genre in Varsity Blues, She's All That, and The Skulls.
However, it was street racing ex-cop Brian O'Connor in The Fast & the Furious that speed Walker into stardom.
He has been with the summer blockbuster franchise since the 2001 original, which also made Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez household names. Walker reprise his role as O'Connor in 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious with Tyrese Gibson and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, 2009's Fast & Furious, 2011's Fast Five with Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson and this summer's Fast & Furious 6.
Walker's post-Fast roles includes Into the Blue with Jessica Alba, 2006's Running Scared, and Disney's Eight Below.
When news of Walker's death broke on Facebook, Fast & Furious 7 was still in production during the cast's Thanksgiving break. Though scheduled for release next summer, the future of the film -- and the Fast & Furious franchise -- remains unknown.
Walker is survived by his 15-year-old daughter Meadow.
