A Paul Walker gift from years ago is making news following his tragic death. On Dec. 5, the New York Daily News reported that Paul Walker bought an anonymous gift for a couple in Virginia -- and this gift was one of the nicest acts of kindness ever.
Paul Walker was in a jewelry store in 2004 when Kristen and Kyle Upham were shopping for engagement rings. The couple went back and forth, Kristen insisting that many of the rings that Kyle suggested were too expensive. Kyle ended up making small talk with Walker and they soon learned a bit about one another... Kyle ended up recognizing Walker as an actor... and Walker learned that Kyle just returned home from a tour in Iraq.
Paul Walker bought a gift for Kyle and Kristen Upham after the couple left the store. According to the report, Walker purchased a diamond ring for Kristen and told the store clerk to not tell the couple who purchased the ring... but the Upham's knew. The $10,000 bauble was the "most generous thing anyone has ever done" according to Kristen Upham.
"One of the ladies came out holding a bag and just simply said, 'Here's your ring.' I think both of our mouths dropped," recalled Kristen. This story has been highlighted following Paul Walker's passing and it shows just how generous and thoughtful Walker was.
This Paul Walker gift was something that touched this couple and it's something that is now touching thousands of people who learn about it. Walker was a very giving man -- something else that those close to him knew and loved about him. On the day that he died, he had attended a charity event to help raise money for typhoon victims in the Philippines.
