Paul Walker's funeral will be picketed by the Westboro Baptist Church -- are you really surprised? Since news of Walker's death hit in Internet on Nov. 30, the Westboro Baptist Church has been tweeting up a storm about the actor and explaining why they plan to protest his upcoming funeral.
"PERFECT, @tmz! Paul Walker taught a nation to be fast & furious. He died that same way. #GodIsNotMocked #WhosNext?... Paul Walker had a duty to live sober, righteous, godly #HeFailed #InHell Wants YOU to heed our warning (Luke 16) ... Paul Walker taught a rebel nation to be fast & furious. He died that same way. #GodIsNotMocked #WhosNext?" WBC wrote in a series of tweets.
Paul Walker's funeral has not been scheduled yet (the coroner is waiting on dental records to properly identify his body). However, the Westboro Baptist Church is known for showing up at major events like this and practicing their "freedom of speech" or whatever you'd like to call it.
The WBC has expressed sheer elation and joy over Paul Walker's tragic death. They will undoubtedly be holding up very offensive signs and getting their views across while Walker's loved ones -- including his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow -- mourn him. And this isn't anything new for the WBC -- they have been targeting celebrities on a regular basis lately and they always seem to show up to celeb funerals.
Paul Walker's funeral will likely be in Calif. some time later next week or early the week after. More details on that when they become available.
