Paul Walker has left his estate to his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. On Feb. 4, Huffington Post reported that a copy of Walker's will was obtained by TMZ and that the late actor's estate, in its entirety -- reportedly worth $25M -- was left to the teenager.
"Walker's father, Paul Walker III, filed the will with the court and requested the actor's mother, Cheryl, be named Meadow's guardian, TMZ noted. The girl is currently living with her mother, Rebecca Soteros," reports Huffington Post. It's unclear what kind of a relationship Walker's parents have with his ex, Soteros, but some think that the actor's written will signifies a rift within his family and the women in his life (both past and present).
Paul Walker's estate should go to his daughter, an only child, by right. No one was really surprised by this -- but since he left nothing to his family. As The New York Daily News points out, there must have been a reason that Walker's father requested Meadow be taken care of by Cheryl. Walker's dad, Paul Sr., reportedly also wants Cheryl to oversee the estate -- until Meadow turns 18.
It does seem like Walker's parents want Meadow under their roof and under their care but it's unknown if there is a trust issue with Meadow's mother. It's also unknown what's going on with Walker's girlfriend, Jasmine Pilchard Gosnell, but she wasn't left anything either. It's unknown if she plans to contest the will.
Paul Walker's estate decision has caused some confusion. A court date has been scheduled for later this month.
