A Paul Walker engagement ring tale is being remembered this week in light of the “Fast and Furious” actor’s tragic death, and this act of kindness shows that in addition to being a talented man on the big screen, he also had a big heart. Now a sales associate is coming forward to say that Paul Walker came in to a jewelry store years ago and left a surprise for a couple through a special gift that they will never forget, US News shares this Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.

The Paul Walker engagement ring feel-good story begins with the actor entering a Bailey Banks and Biddle Jewelers store in Santa Barbara, California, almost ten years back. A sales associate at the time, Ms. Irene King, said that Walker’s good deed truly seemed to be a sheer act of kindness that came out of a film itself.

King remembers when the late “Fast and Furious” star came in, and a friend whispered to her, "There's Paul Walker."

"Oh, okay, yeah," King replied with a smile. "I said, ‘Yeah, he's a nice-looking man.'"

Walker was looking for some jewelry while a soldier returning from an Iraq duty tour was shopping for engagement rings with his new fiancé. King remembers that the couple soon found a ring that they both loved, but that it was way out of their price range. The ring cost just over $10,000.

According to the report, Paul Walker overhead the couple’s quandary, and out of the kindness of his heart decided to help. He made a special call in to the store’s manager, being a frequent shopper at the jeweler’s, and told him to put the ring on his tab and buy it for the couple. However, he asked that his identity not be revealed as the buyer of the engagement ring.

After all these years, the couple never knew who bought them that special gift. Only know is the Paul Walker engagement ring “donation” coming to light, and King believes that it’s the right time to reveal to the world the kind of man he was off the movie set.

.King recently messaged the story on the actor’s Facebook page, along with many other friends, family, and fans leaving comments regarding the beloved star’s recent death (thermal injuries have just been revealed as a cause of death in his autopsy report).

"To do something like that to a perfect stranger is just unbelievable," King said.

Talk about leaving a mark behind that shines beautifully as a diamond
