Paul Rudd hosting SNL for third time with One Direction

"Anchorman" fans may be secretly hoping that Paul Rudd comes out on stage this Saturday night for his SNL monologue as his field reporter character, Brian Fantana, fingers crossed. Rudd, who reprises the role in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," is back hosting Saturday Night Live for a third time with musical guest, One Direction.

In the promos, Rudd and cast member Vanessa Bayer, try to contain their excitement for One Direction by screaming into pillows like crazed teenage girls before running off as Rudd exclaims, "I'm Fangirling!" Rudd also fails to remember Bayer's name and shares of a little trick he uses to help him think, which leads to a CVS pharmacy where he buys "a Bayer - aspirin."

Another promo features Rudd, with his classic nerdy and goofy charm, storming off after Bayer steals his "third times a charm" bit. After Rudd can't find his way out of Studio 8H, he runs back and shouts out the line before yelling to Bayer, "F you!"

Check out the promos above and tune in Saturday night, Dec. 7, for Paul Rudd (and hopefully Brian Fantana) and musical guest, One Direction, "The hot British guys: Niall, Harry, Louis, Zayn and Liam."

"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," out Dec. 20!
