According to The Wrap on Dec. 18, sources say that Paul Rudd is currently in talks to play the Marvel comic character Hank Pym in Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man". At this time both Rudd and his representatives have nothing to say in the matter.

For a time, Rudd has been dismissing it as a rumor when he was approached on more than one occasion about said role. Also Joseph Gordon-Levitt was rumored to be in the running as the miniature insect-size character as well and has already played in super hero films such as "The Dark Knight Rises". A recent "Saturday Night Live" episode demonstrated Rudd's ability to be comedic and some may think this could build credibility to the "Ant-Man" role.

For those not interested in the character from the Marvel Universe, Hank Pym is a scientist who basically had created particles known as "Pym Particles" that when inhaled as a gas giving the subject the ability to grow large or small.

"Ant-Man" is scheduled to be released on July 31, 2015.
