According to Comic Book Resources on Dec. 17, Joesph Gordon-Levitt mentioned on his Twitter feed that he'll be producing a feature "Sandman" film. There could also be a possibility that he may be starring in it as well and will be working with "Man of Steel's" screenwriter David S. Goyer on this project.
"Just to clarify, folks. I've signed on as a producer on "Sandman". The rest remains to be seen. Delighted you guys are excited. I am too!"
Gordon-Levitt has received positive feedback on his "Don Jon" film and this future project along with Goyer sounds like it would be rather promising. It would indeed be interesting to find out how he will fare in villain made comic book film.
“There is always a lot of rumors around these projects and so far it is still only discussions. I am always very transparent when it comes to my role and my career. I’m Usually the first to speak and communicate with my fans if something happens. If you hear nothing from me, they are just rumors.".
Also, rumors had been spreading around that Paul Rudd was set to be a candidate for the "Ant-Man" role, but in an interview with Total Film, Rudd feels like he knows just as much as fans and the internet. But as far as he's concerned, they are just rumors.
"There's nothing that I know about or -- those are all those rumors, I saw them when you saw them," said Rudd. "So, it was certainly exciting to be included in a rumor".
