Paul Pierce of the Brooklyn Nets brought some heat of his own by torching Lebron James and the Miami Heat for 29 points in a close and exciting game on Wednesday night, making their record against the Heat this season 3-0.
Pierce, playing and shooting dominant like his days in Boston, was perfect from three point land, hitting all three attempted 3 pointers.
Pierce also had help in dueling with the Miami Heat. Mirza Teletovic, who also hit three pointers, scored 17 off the bench. Andray Blatche scored 11 for the Nets and Livingston finished with 13 points and can also be credited with spoiling Miami's last chance to win the game by knocking Bosh's attempted pass to Lebron away as timed expired.
Chris Bosh had a consistent night and kept the Heat in the game when the Nets seemed as if they would pull away to a nice lead. Even though Dewayne Wade scored 22 points, the Heat could not get away from the Nets consuming defense.
The Nets came away with a 96-95 win.
