Paul Nassif, best known as the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof, is suing his former chef, Bernie Guzman, for slander, blackmail and extortion.
The lawsuit alleges that on October 14, 2012, Bernie Guzman posted photos on his Facebook of Adrienne with bruises on her back, which he claimed she suffered at the hands of Paul in multiple posts, such as this: Adrienne Maloof was pushed to the ground. Punched and beaten. He is a beast.
Paul, who denies any physical abuse occurred, claims Bernie's Facebook posts are slander.
Shortly after, the Chef Bernie was served with a 'cease and desist' letter, courtesy of Paul Nassif and his attorney. Upon receiving the letter, Bernie allegedly retaliated by sending Paul a text message that Paul believes is blackmail and an attempt to extort him: Stop harassing me…Have you forgotten I witnessed you beat your wife … Kids & animals. I have plenty of pretty family photos … Some not so pretty … Stay away …
Bernie did not stop. In fact, he re-posted a few of the pictures as recently as a month ago (January 7, 2013), which are still up as of today, but just in case they get deleted, here is a screenshot. He has also made a series of posts condemning domestic violence.
Both Bernie and Adrienne claim that Adrienne had nothing to do with Bernie's decision to post the photos. So far, neither of them have publicly commented on the lawsuit.
