Paul McCartney announced on his website Oct. 1 he'll do his first ever live Q&A on Twitter at 9:40 a.m. EST (6:40 a.m. PT) this Thursday in another promotional event to help launch his new album, “New.”
The announcement said fans can send in questions now through Twitter using the hashtag #AskMacca. He will answer questions on his official @paulmccartney account about the album and the recording of it. “New” will be released Oct. 14 in the UK and Oct. 15 in the U.S.
As fans have noted in the past, McCartney's Twitter account has been more used for news from his website than for personal posts. This is one of those rare occasions when he'll actually be on it.
McCartney has been busy working up interest in his album with promotional events, including recent shows at the iHeart Music Festival and on Hollywood Boulevard. At both shows, he performed three songs from the yet unreleased album with two songs heard for the first time anywhere.
