Paul McCartney is coming to Dallas! Well, actually it's in Arlington at the brand new Cowboys stadium. His last show was back in 2005, so a show is definitely overdue.
Of course, I am stoked about this being a big Beatles fan and really just recognizing how talented Sir Paul McCartney is. It's assumed that tickets will be through the roof or hard to come by. But this will be money worth spent.
It's unclear how much of his concert is dedicated to his solo material, and how many of his classic Beatles hits he sings.
As of now, there are only 11 shows posted on his tour. All of the of the other cities are in the northeastern part of the country (NY and MA). Of those stops, most of them seem to be apart of a festival or multi-day show. So it's an honor for Arlington, Texas to be chosen as one of his final stops on the tour.
It's sad to say, but I'm concerned with the number of scalpers that will probably monopolize ticket sales. It has been happening more and more in the past year and it doesn't seem to be stopping or slowing down. So get your tickets as fast as your fingers can type and save your place in line for this historic siting of one of biggest musicians living!
Tickets go on sale Monday, July 20 at 10 am. The show will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
