More Associated Press pictures from Paul McCartney's performance Wednesday at the marquee
of the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.
It's interesting to note that some of the AP photos we saw included caption information that this was Paul's first trip back to the theater since "The Ed Sullivan Show." That, of course, is wrong. MTV taped an "Up Close" special with Paul and his current band, including Linda, at the Sullivan Theater in 1993.

Comments
Steve:
One minor correction from your comments above. The band that backed Paul up for the "Up Close" taping was his regular band of that era, with Hamish Stuart and Robbie McIntosh. The only connection between that band and his current one is Wix. Also, everybody's forgetting that, the day before their first Shea Stadium concert, The Beatles taped an appearance at what was still called CBS Studio 50 for the Sullivan show that would air Sept. 12, 1965.
Another minor correction - it was 1992, not 1993
