Paul McCartney makes mark on top-grossing tours of the year

Concert trade publication Pollstar has listed Paul McCartney as one of the top-10 grossing concert acts of the year in both North America and the world in its annual roundup charts issued Wednesday. McCartney was listed eighth in the world with a gross of $93 million and sixth in North America with $61.8 million. 

Bon Jovi took first place in both charts with $201.1 million worldwide gross and $108.2 in North America. AC/DC was second and U2 was third worldwide, while Roger Waters and Dave Matthews took the next two spots in North America. 
 
Here are the top 10 grossing acts in North America: Bon Jovi, Roger Waters, Dave Matthews Band, Michael Buble, the Eagles, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Carole King and James Taylor,  the Black-Eyed Peas and John Mayer. 
 
The top 10 worldwide grossing concert acts: Bon Jovi, AC/DC, U2, Lady Gaga, Metallica, Michael Buble, "Walking With Dinosaurs," Paul McCartney, the Eagles and Roger Waters.

Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles placed 39th on the North America list with $18.2 million. Others on the North American list included Tom Petty and the Heartbreaks (13th with $44.6 million), Elton John and Billy Joel (32nd with $21.7 million), Elton John (33rd, $21.5 million) and Eric Clapton (34th with $20.4 million).
