If you reserve your weekends for endless noshing, Paul McCartney and Gwyneth Paltrow request you make your Mondays meat-free. In an effort to promote "Meat-Free Mondays" the two stars have teamed up via Paltrow's site, GOOP, to get fans on board.

"It’s amazingly easy to take one day in your week, Monday or any other day, and not eat meat," McCartney says on Paltrow's site, GOOP.com. "All it means is that you have to think a bit about what you’ll eat that day but, in actual fact, far from being a chore, it’s a fun challenge."

While this isn't the first time McCartney has teamed up with another celebrity name to encourage meat-free diets, this is the first time the Beatles legend has been featured on Paltrow's site.

In an effort to promote greener items, organic choices and lux living, Paltrow formed GOOP.com to spread messages just like McCartney's.

Paul, who credits the 1942 Disney film Bambi with his inspiration to go meat-free, has written personal letters of appeal in the name of animal rights to the Dalai Lama and Pamela Anderson.
