A spokesman for Paul McCartney's label Hear Music told Beatles Examiner Aug. 28 an announcement for his long-awaited new album is “imminent." But the promotion for the album started last night with messages on the former Beatle's Twitter account that have ramped up the anticipation.
A series of mysterious tweets began showing up on McCartney's official Twitter account early Wednesday that at first appeared to be random and had Twitterers what was going on. (One user asked jokingly if McCartney had been getting Twitter lessons from Ringo Starr, whose @ringostarrmusic account has had a few unusual messages in the past.)
But others wondered if the words posted on the account, which included “potato,” “sworthy,” “castle,” “lyweds,” “born,” “York” and "moon,” were some kind of clue or had something in common. Other rumors have been surging about the new album, but the spokesman told Beatles Examiner not all of the information has been accurate.
Stay tuned. It looks like things are about to take off very soon.
And this has been a week for hidden Beatles messages on the internet. Universal Music Philippines Facebook page had the first announcement anywhere that a second volume of Beatles BBC tracks would be released in November. There has been no official word of this yet, either.
