Paul McCartney announces first 2014 shows in U.S. on his Out There! tour

Paul McCartney fans in America who have been hoping he would be playing shows in the U.S. this year got some good news April 8 when he announced on his website the first two shows in the States for his 2014 edition of his Out There! tour.

McCartney will play June 19 at the New Orleans Arena and then a week later on June 26 at Louisville, KY, at Yum! Center. Word about impending U.S shows had been rumored for several days. Beatles Examiner was the first to report over the weekend that some U.S. shows were about to be announced. The announcement came a day earlier than anticipated. The McCartney website also indicated that more U.S. dates were coming.

Fans registered with PaulMcCartney.com will be eligible to purchase pre-sale tickets at 10 a.m. local time April 9, the website said. To be eligible for this pre-sale, fans must be registered with the website by 6 a.m. EDT Wednesday. Tickets will go on general sale April 14 at 10 a.m. local time. American Express card members can purchase tickets before the general public from 10 a.m. April 10 through 10 p.m. April 13.

April 21 and 22, Movistar Arena, Santiago, Chile
April 25, National Stadium, Lima, Peru
April 28, Estadio Liga in ??Quito, Ecuador
May 1, National Stadium, San Jose, Costa Rica
May 17-18 National Stadium, Tokyo
May 24, Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Japan
May 28, Jamsil Sports Complex Main Stadium, Seoul, South Korea
June 19, New Orleans Arena, New Orleans
June 26, Yum! Center, Louisville, KY.

The 2013 edition of the Out There! tour began May 4 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil at Mineiräo Stadium, and featured over 30 shows in Brazil, the U.S., Poland, Austria, Italy and Canada before ending in Japan.
