Bluewater Productions' new comic book, Paul McCartney: Carry That Weight, promises to give fans a new perspective on why the Beatles really broke up— and it wasn't because of Yoko Ono the publisher asserts.
According to past interviews with McCartney (and the comic) the Fab Four were "already winding down", when Sir Paul decided to embark on a solo career that saw the formation of his second band, Wings.
"It's about McCartney leaving the Beatles," said publisher Darren Davis. "It's a comic book that's fun and educational," Davis continued, "telling the story from Paul's point of view. When asked if Bluewater actually got any input from McCartney, Davis said that "McCartney did not contribute yo the book."
The comic will hit book stores and comic book shops this Wednesday and will also be released digitally.
