Paul Bettany has been lending his voice as JARVIS in the Iron Man franchise with Robert Downey, Jr.'s self-proclaimed billionaire genius Tony Stark, who dons a suit of armor to fight terrorism and corruption.
Now, Bettany will really become one of Marvel's The Avengers when he has been cast in the role of Vision in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Age of Ultron is the sequel to the billion-dollar worldwide smash that finally assembled Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Hawkeye, and Captain America into becoming "Earth's Mightiest Heroes".
In the comics, Vision was the creation of Ultron, the robot who turned against his creator: scientist and fellow Avenger Henry "Hank" Pym, a pacifist who sought alternative means to end the never-ending violence and fighting that still exists in our world. Vision soon sided against Ultron and joined the Avengers, who fights the foes -- and battles -- no one ever could.
The conclusion of "Phase Two" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015, two months before the release of Ant-Man, which begins "Phase Three" on July 17, 2015.
