As the Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling all season to finish out games strong, they certainly don't need any more injuries, but it looks like they will lose center Pau Gasol for the majority of the season.
Apparently after a scheduled MRI Gasol has a tear in the plantar fascia of his right foot and will be out for approximately six weeks.
After news of his injury Gasol tweeted: "hoping to recover asap so I can be back with the team and keep fighting until the end of the season. #GoLakers #AlwaysPositive."
The Lakers have been battling all season and without the help of Gasol it is uncertain whether or not the team will make the playoffs.
Kobe Bryant is undoubtedly going to keep looking ahead, while Dwight Howard will hopefully return soon from his sore shoulder.
