A unique opportunity awaits beer lovers with an adventurous side upon a visit Chumley's in Lafayette. The 'Beers around the World' club is a chance for patrons to sample 50 beers from around the globe. What may start as a simple trip to a local bar can turn into an ocean-crossing adventure for taste buds.

The club is free to join. All a person has to do is ask to try it out, and a very authentic 'beer passport' will be presented. Like how visas are stamped in a real passport, beers are listed and await the same action. There is no rule about which order the beers are sampled, just the order a patron fancies. The only stipulation is that a person finishes all the beers on the passport within one year of beginning.

After the completion of the passport, a customer will get his or her name placed prominently behind the bar on a brass slate. That person will also get a t-shirt proclaiming the wearer a 'beers around the world club' member.
