Baltimore, Md.--The Baltimore Ravens walked out of M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, no longer controlling their playoff destiny. The now head into the final week of the regular season relying on a few teams with multiple playoff scenarios to clinch a berth.
The Patriots routed the Ravens 41-7 at M&T Bank Stadium. It was the largest deficit the Ravens faced during the John Harbaugh era.
The offense looked flat and predictable and the Patriots took advantage of miscommunications and turnovers. Joe Flacco, coming off a knee injury and a brace was out of rhythm for the whole game.
"It's disappointing, " Flacco said. "We're used to going out there and playing well when we need to make the playoffs are on the line. We came out today hungry and ready to go get ourselves into the playoffs or make that next step towards it, and we just didn't do it.
With the Ravens at 8-7, this eliminates them from the AFC North tittle and also in the need of having playoff help playing against the Bengals
The Ravens will need the Miami Dolphins or San Diego Chargers to lose in order to clinch the 6th seed in the playoffs.
Baltimore plays at Cincinnati at 1pm this Sunday.
