After going back and forth on restructuring his contract, the Patriots have decided to release wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.
What this shows is how serious the Patriots are about signing Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet, though the paperwork hasn't been filed.
The Patriots recently signed Danny Amendola and Donald Jones, but as of right now that looks like a thin group considering past injury issues, meaning more additions at wideout will be coming before next season.
Lloyd looks to become a hot commodity on the free agent market. With what;s left out t here he is clearly the best of the lot.
