The MLB live stream and TV schedule for April 21 includes the Boston Red Sox annual Patriot's Day game. Patriot's Day is celebrated every year on the third Monday in April in remembrance for the battles of Lexington and Concord during the American Revolutionary War. The day not only means a lot to Massachusetts natives, but to all Americans as well.
According to a MLB report on April 20 the Red Sox will send Clay Buchholz to the mound in search of his first win of 2014. With his overall success vs. Baltimore, Patriot's Day could be the day Buchholz get his first win of the season. Buchholz is 9-3 in his career against the Orioles. Baltimore will counter with Wei-Yin Chen. Chen is 2-1 so far in 2014, but with an ERA near five, the lefty hasn't been as sharp as the Birds had hoped he would be.
This year has been a struggle so far for the defending champion Red Sox, but perhaps a fired up Patriot's Day crowd at Fenway Park is what the Sox need to get kick started. Last season David Ortiz gave an emotional speech before the game and the fans at Fenway didn't stop cheering until the Red Sox won the World Series.
It really was a magical run for Boston, but to repeat as champions they are going to have to start stringing together some wins. For all of the throwback and alternative jersey fans, the Red Sox will be sporting their "Boston" jerseys in Monday's game just like they did last year.
Las Vegas odds makers have the Red Sox posted as the favorite at -155 with the over/under number listed at 9. Fans can catch this early starting Patriot's Day game on the MLB TV Network nationally and streaming live online through MLB TV.com starting at 11 a.m. ET.
