Steve and Jackie Piotrowski of Citizens for Liberty, along with other patriot groups, are holding a rally at Valley Forge National Park on Sunday in a show of civil disobedience over the national park closures across the country. The park was "viciously shut down," as mentioned today on the Dom Giordano show.
Giordano is in support of the rally, and will be there to record the event. Piotrowski told the Examiner today that so far, they expect "several hundred people," and they have a goal of 1000 people.
As previously reported by the Examiner, Valley Forge has been ticketing people who dare to walk through the park. John Bell, a 56-year-old marathon runner was ticketed after jogging through the park. He said he "felt like a terrorist," when he came to his car and saw park rangers waiting for him.
As Piotrowski writes on the Facebook invitation,
"What would George Washington do if the British tried to shut down his encampment in Valley Forge? He'd resist! They paid the price for Freedom, and now its our turn to honor them."
As of now, the rally will be held at a parking lot by the Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge National Park. The information is updated regularly at the Citizens for Liberty website, or on Facebook.
